Manifesto of AOTL

 

We believe in Jesus Christ. The One in the Bible, not the one people make-up to fit their agendas.  We choose to share the Gospel as we go about our days, hence Traveling Lights. It's His Light.  Not ours  We seek to accomplish His will.  Not forcing our beliefs upon others.  He gives us choice and free will.  Why wouldn't we? 

 

It's about creating and developing meaningful relationships organically - no scripts or step-by-step methodology.  We're about serving needs - especially spiritual ones unless needs of survival are at risk. 

 

AOTL does not throw out a bunch of rhetoric and hope something sticks but instead comes along-side people.  One person at a time.  It started with the One True Light - Jesus Christ - and He has passed His Light onto us, and we can do the same through the Holy Spirit.

 

The Art of Traveling Light (AOTL) is the art of using words to create what God has gifted us to create. 

 

The traveler is the role of a missionary.  Whether it be at home, locally, overseas or all the above.  There is a sense of movement but one at a restful pace.  Not rushing about as though we are in control.  We're not.  God is.

 

AOTL is also about the release of excess baggage we lug around.  Past hurts.  Anger.  Hate.  Fear.  Disappointments.  Control.  Pride.  The travel is much lighter when we can release the past through the Spirit.  None of us can do this in our own might - only in the might of the Lord.

 

AOTL is part of what is called the "Exchanged Life."  Since we died with Christ we're also resurrected with Him.  Meaning, we've exchanged who we were in the world to who God has created us to be - from before the beginning of time.  With His Words.

 

Since the Gospel is a gospel of love (with is so much) then we are to take the time to disciple and love all divine appointments God has presented along our path. 

 

The Light cannot be hidden.  It allows us to see much deeper with spiritual eyes, meaning we can see behind the physical realm to what is really going on - what God has ordained.  We do not perceived it with our physical eyes but by revelation, and that through asking and seeking the Truth.

 

Welcome!  Traveling Lights!  Let the adventure begin as you awaken to the power of the Holy Spirit.  For "He did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind."  God guards each of our steps along The Way.
